Workshops
Workshop tuition is $70.00 per day. Two-day workshop tuition is $140.00. Three-day workshop tuition is $210.00. Non-members pay an additional $25.00 per workshop regardless of number of days the workshop is offered. Some workshops may be offered at a lower tuition rate. When a workshop of this nature is available the tuition rate will be published in The Weaverbird newsletter.

A Day of Dyeing
Mary Zicafoose - A Day of Dyeing We will be dyeing yarn in this class...using wash fast acid dyes for protein fibers (wool, silk...) We will learn how to formulate dye recipes, learn safe dye procedure, how to dye a 20 step color gradation, and how to dye ikat. Yarns will be provided.

Vibrant Rugs: Designing & Weaving for the WOW
Mary Zicafoose - Vibrant Rugs Workshop Mary Zicafoose "uses color boldly, with a sure hand, creating strong visual statements in fiber". Her rugs and tapestries are distinguished by "intensely dyed primaries within large planes and fields of color. She credits her courage at the dye pot to Mark Rothko with ethnic design inspirations. These works are collected globally including several U.S. Embassies.

A 2 day intensive rug weaving workshop. Mary will be supplying the warps and hand dyed yarns for the wefts. Students will only need a loom and weaving tools.
